Welcome to Sage Lotus Press

Updated: 57 minutes ago

If you have found your way here, chances are you are in the middle of something. A hard season. A question you did not expect to be asking. A decision you are not sure you are ready to make.

That is who I write for. Welcome.

I am Dr. Stacey Lynn Lederberg. I hold a Ph.D. in psychology and graduate degrees in counseling and education, and I am a certified health coach, yoga instructor, and mind-body practitioner. For more than twenty years I have worked alongside children, families, and educators. Underneath all of it there was always a writer.

I wrote to make sense of what the families I served were living through. I wrote to make sense of my own life, which has included reinvention, loss I did not see coming, estrangement and hard-won repair, and a daughter who became my closest companion. The writing was never separate from the work. Told honestly, it was the work.

Sage Lotus Press is where that writing lives now.

It is a press for the second half of a life. Midlife and what it takes from you. Loss. Chronic illness. Caregiving. Starting over in a city where you know no one. Becoming someone new after the first version of your life ends.

What you will find here:

The Lotus Chronicles is the memoir, three volumes, the whole arc of starting over. The Lotus Field Guides are practical workbooks for women over fifty, one for each stretch of the second half. The Lotus Apothecary takes five Japanese concepts and builds a seven-day arc around each one. The Lotus Renewal Series is ten short wellness guides in three movements: mind, body, soul. There is a self-paced course on the mind-body connection, and there is the research on parental alienation and family court, which is its own thread and which I will write about here.

Everything published under this name comes out of something I lived or something I sat beside a family through. I am not writing from the other side of anything. I am still building.

So look around. Read the blog. Take the free guide. Stay a while.

One woman's unfiltered chronicle of starting over, writing through it, and blooming anyway.
