I am Dr. Stacey Lynn Lederberg. I hold a Ph.D. in psychology, an M.S. in counseling, an M.Ed. in special education, and a B.S. in health and physical education. I am a certified health coach, a yoga and social-emotional learning instructor, a mindfulness instructor, and a mind-body practitioner. For more than twenty years I have worked with children, families, and educators, most of them in the middle of something hard.
That is the part that goes on a bio. Here is the rest.
My mother died suddenly in 2006. My father died of Covid in 2020, a week after his eighty-ninth birthday. In between, I married at forty-four, had a daughter at forty-five after IVF and against long odds, and then watched the marriage end and the years that followed take my daughter away from me. Parental alienation is the clinical term. What it meant in practice was a child who had loved me being taught not to, a court system that moved slowly, and a period where I did not know if she would ever come back.
She came back. We rebuilt it from nothing. She was homeschooled, she passed her GED at sixteen, and in 2025 we moved to New York City together and started over. She is now my closest friend.
I finished my doctorate during the worst of it. I wrote through all of it.
That is why this press exists. Everything published here comes out of something I lived or something I sat beside a family through. The memoir, the workbooks, the Japanese philosophy guides, the wellness series, the research on parental alienation. Different forms, same source.
I am not writing from the other side of anything. I am in my sixties, still building, still figuring out the second half. The books are what I found useful on the way.
